Colorado Springs Zoom Whitening

Now you can brighten your smile with our powerful whitening treatments that lighten discolorations caused by coffee, cigarettes, foods, medication, or aging. You’ll notice the difference immediately, and so will everyone else.

The Zoom Whitening System is the tooth whitening procedure used by professionals on the TV program Extreme Makeover. It’s safe, effective, and very fast. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter—permanently!

How Zoom Works

The Zoom Whitening procedure is simple and painless.

It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums.

Our hygienist then applies the proprietary gel, which is activated by a specially designed light.

Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more, and a  five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. You’ll be amazed with the results.

The Zoom light activated gel was developed after years of research by Discus Dental, the leaders in professional take-home tooth whitening. The gel is a scientifically formulated, pH balanced hydrogen peroxide that, when activated by the light, gently penetrates the teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration. With proper care and an occasional touch-up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.

What causes discoloration of teeth?

There are many causes. There is a certain amount of color that is naturally a part of teeth. Then, over the years, we consume various staining substances such as coffee, tea, colas, highly pigmented fruits, tobacco, red wine, etc. During the formation of teeth, consumption of tetracycline, certain antibiotics or excessive fluoride may also cause tooth discoloration.

Who may benefit from Zoom Teeth Whitening?

Almost anyone can benefit from Zoom; however, results will vary. Dental work such as bonding or crowns will not be affected by whitening, and if that is present, we may have to work around that. We can determine if you are a viable candidate through an oral exam, including a teeth shade assessment.

Is Zoom Teeth Whitening safe?

Yes, extensive research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe. In fact, many dentists consider teeth whitening the safest cosmetic dental procedure available. As with any teeth whitening procedure, it is not recommended for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women.

How long do the results last?

By following some simple post-teeth whitening care instructions, your teeth will always be lighter than they were before. You may need touch-ups through home bleaching trays every six months or as the doctor recommends. You can also repeat the Zoom treatment on our office as prescribed.

For patients who keep up-to-date with checkups, we have the free teeth bleaching Whitening for Life program.
