What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front surfaces of front teeth to improve their color and shape. They can be used to straighten smiles, close spaces, lengthen small or mishapen teeth, or whiten stained or dark teeth. After a thorough discussion with Dr. Rota to establish your goals and what can and cannot be done, we shape and roughen the teeth. We then use CEREC technology to design and create your perfect smile. After they are made and tried on, and you let us know that you love them, an adhesive is used to bond them to your teeth, and a special light hardens the adhesive. Once in place, your veneers look and feel just like your own teeth and create an absolutely stunning smile.
